Mr. Joseph is an assistant professor of forensic science with 25 years of professional and academic experience. Joseph has served the Abu Dhabi, Bahrain Police, and the Ministry of Justice as a forensic expert and consultant. In the course of his career, he has examined thousands of evidences of major crimes and minor crimes, from burglaries to blast incidents.
Joseph holds a MS in Forensic Science and is currently pursuing a PhD in Forensic DNA Quality Management. He is an award-winning teacher in the category of innovative learning and teaching in 2021. The areas of research and development he is interested in including advanced forensic genotyping, phenotyping DNA systems, deconvolution software, forensic evidence management, and CSI intelligence solutions. He is licensed Molecular biologist by the Ministry of Health, Forensic assessor for Emirates National Accreditation Service (ENAS), Professional Member of Chartered Society of Forensic Science, Associate Member of the American Academy of Forensic Science, Professional member of the Indian Police Foundation and Research, Honorary Fellow of the European Society for Forensic Science, advisor to the Indian Criminology and Forensic Science Association, and Ambassador for Wildlife Forensic Academy, South Africa.
