Denis is the founder and CEO of Canine Solutions which is a specialist supplier of dogs. Canine Solutions undertake the training and supply of Patrol-, Narcotic- and Explosive Detection Dogs and Mine Detection Dogs.

Denis started training dogs initially for sport and competition (IPO) in 1994 and represented South Africa, he is also an International qualified IPO Judge.

In 2000 he was employed by MineTech International as a MDD handler and has since been deployed to various countries as a MDD and EDD handler.

In 2002 he started Canine Solutions and has trained and deployed various dog teams around the world, and successfully assisted and passed various accreditations.  Denis travels extensively to Europe to assess and select young dogs for various projects. He manages the training programs, covering all aspects of daily training up to active deployment.

Denis is one of the owners and directors of Dyck Advisory Group K9 Services and oversees the daily training and operations of the dog school in Krugersdorp, South Africa.

Denis is also the newly appointed Managing Director of Klein Tafelberg Training and Adventure Centre (KTTAC).  This is a 750-hectare purpose designed training facility including accommodation for students, a variety of shooting ranges, a 21km off-road instruction track for driver training and ambush and patrol drills instruction. KTTAC does firearm training and CPO courses, as well as specialized bespoke training for various civil and government organisations.

He oversees all the aspects of KTTAC, including daily administration of the Centre.
