Dr. Anthony Murphy is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of Psychology Programmes at the University of Birmingham’s Dubai campus. Anthony is an interdisciplinary researcher, with primary interests in areas of forensic and clinical psychology, with particular foci on violent and sexual crimes, developmental trajectories into crime, clinical management, and psychological phenomenology. Anthony’s collaborative research has contributed significantly to policy and practice in the training of Police Officers in the U.K. He is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a member of the Society for Evidence-Based Policing, the European Association of Psychology and Law, and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
