Gregory J. Williams is a PhD candidate and an inspector of police and forensic scientist in the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda with over 28 years of experience. He headed the forensic department in the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda. Insp. Williams is an adjunct and forensic lecturer for the master’s (MSc) and postgraduate diploma in forensic science program at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica, and is also the course coordinator for Crime Scene Management (CSM), Crime Scene Reconstruction (CSR), crime scene reconstruction practical, forensic firearm examination, firearms examination practical, and teaches expert witness. Insp. Williams is also a forensic consultant and trainer. His undergrad degree (BSc) and MSc degrees in forensic science were obtained from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Staffordshire University, England. Insp. Williams is the holder of a postgraduate certificate in university teaching and learning from the University of the West Indies Mona Campus and is currently pursuing a PhD in biochemistry. He is a Certified Crime Scene Instructor by the Regional Security System (RSS), based in Barbados, and also a fire investigator. He also worked as a special constable for the Staffordshire Police Constabulary for three years.

Insp. Williams is an affiliate member of the International Association for Identification (IAI), a professional member of the Chattered Society of Forensic Science (CSFS), and a member of the Institute of Fire Engineers (UK). He is a founding member of CAFS and presently serves as the president and director of the Caribbean Association of Forensic Sciences (CAFS). He is the founder and advisor of the UWI Forensic Science Student Association. Some of his specialties include blood spatter analysis, crime scene investigation, gunshot residue, fingerprint examination, firearms and fire investigation, DNA, toxicology, and photography. He also fulfills the capacity of an expert witness in the courts of law in Antigua and Barbuda and Anguilla. He is a private investigator and the Chief Executive Officer of G. Williams Investigation and Photography Services. He has presented more than 30 presentations at several international, regional, and local conferences. He hosted and organized webinars, symposiums, and conferences. He is an author and wrote the first chapter on crime scene management in the Manual of Crime Scene Investigation, published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, in 2022. He has over seven (7) published abstracts and six (6) poster presentations. He has written and supervised several research projects in forensic science.
