Pierre Guyomarc’h - Head of Forensics at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Pierre Guyomarc’h graduated from the University of Bordeaux in France (MSc 2008, PhD 2011) in archaeology and biological anthropology. His research focused on forensic anthropology, medical imaging, and methods of identification based on skeletal human remains. Pierre worked with the Central Identification Laboratory of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA; formerly JPAC) in the USA in 2012-2013 and participated in the identification of missing US soldiers. From 2014, he continued his work in humanitarian forensic action with the ICRC, deploying in a range of countries (including Ukraine, Lebanon, Georgia) before joining the ICRC headquarters in Geneva in 2017 where he supports the management of the ICRC forensic staff in the field.  He is currently the Head of Forensics at the ICRC.
