Lt. Col. Dr. Expert Rashed Alghafri is Director of International Centre for Forensic Sciences in Dubai Police. Specialized in forensic genetics. He is an active researcher in the field and has published (43) peer-reviewed research top scientific journals in the field. Had solved many complex crimes and cases such as, Butcher Case and 8-Years old rape case of Arabic woman in Dubai. Leading, the first of its kind in the middle-east, a scientific team for COVID-19 surveillance in wastewater. He has been granted two patents by WIPO for inventing male DNA profiling tools. Based on his work, he received (15) various rewards, locally, regionally and internationally. He established the Arabian Speaking Working Group under the umbrella of International Society of Forensic Genetics, which he is a president of. An active member in (12) working groups including boards, councils and committees in forensic science, biosecurity and social sectors. Notably, he is chairman of Dubai Police Scientists Council and Head of Youth Scientists in UAE. He was awarded professorship at Murdoch University in Australian, Bond University in Australia and UAEU in UAE. Since he started bridging academia with service sector, he supervised (7) Master Dissertations and (3) PhD thesis for students in United Kingdom, Australia, Bahrain and UAE. He is an alumnus of Impactful leadership and social leadership programs organized by MBRCLD. Finally, he is an alumnus of National Expert Program representing Research and Development sector within Economy Cluster.
