Stefan Pfeiffer is police officer since 38 years, started hist career in a patrol car and is since 2008 the head of the police traffic department Feucht/Germany in the higher police service of the Bavarian police. The area of competence of this police department includes 400 kilometres ferderal autobahn with five autobahn junctions. Dayly 250.000 vehicles are passing this section. In average the police officers have to investigate between 3.000 and 3.500 accidents, with 600 injured and 10 to 15 killed persons per year. A special squad of plain equipped police officers is carrying out 24/7 vehicle- and personal-controls independent of suspicion. Missing speed limit, no car owner's liability and in European comparison low charges for road traffic offences complicate the road safety situation.

Stefan Pfeiffer is active in the German Police Union (DPolG) and there member of the expert board Traffic Safety. He represents the DPolG as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board, European Federation of Road Traffic Victims - section Germany (VOD), as

member of the board committee Adult in the Road Safety Council (DVR) and as member of the Society of Medical and Technical Trauma Biomechanics (GMTTB).

He is well-reputated through national and international lectures and publishing of expert articels. Additional he has teaching assingments and examiner duties for education senior and higher police service at the college of public service Bavarian police.
