Tony is a NPCC qualified General Purpose Dog Instructor and Lead for General Purpose Dog Instructing for the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS).  In addition to General Purpose Dogs, this role encompasses the training of; Trojan/Firearms Support Dogs, Public Order Dogs, Forensic Evidence Detection Dogs and Urban Search and Rescue Dogs.

Tony joined the MPS in 2001 working in frontline policing and crime squads before taking promotion to Sergeant in 2004, undertaking a variety of roles including frontline response, event planning, neighbourhood policing, crime teams and citizen focus.

He joined the Dog Support Unit (DSU) in July 2011 and immediately took part in the London Riots of that summer.  Tony worked a German Shepherd, General Purpose dog based in North East London before working as an acting Base Inspector for 14 months before joining the Dog Training Establishment as a Lead Instructor in 2016.
